How to Make a Solar Jar
How to Make a Solar Jar
We start by having friends over
Getting together for a Buffalo Bills or Sabres game is a great way to share in the excitement of our hometown sports teams.
Serving salsa and chips keeps your hungry friends from raiding the refrigerator when you’reĀ not looking.
Remember to save the salsa jar so you can turn it into a Buffalo Solar Jar lamp.

What better meal can you have with friends on a cold winter’s night than a traditional Italian dish?
Gather up your favorite jar of spaghetti sauce to make a delicious dinner.
But remember, save the spaghetti jar when you’re done.
Clean Jars

After the fun is over and it’s time to clean up, remove the label as best as possible from the jar and wash it in soapy water to remove all food debris. Use a steel wool scrubbing pad to remove the glue used to attach the label to the jar. Do not clean the lids in soapy water.
Using a Buffalo Solar Lid

Choose the type of lid you want to use on the jar. Fill up the jar with a beverage or decorative display of your choosing. There is a switch under the lid to turn the light on or off. Turn the light on before placing the lid on the jar. If using a straw, place it in the hole on the lid to enjoy your beverage.
Cleaning the Solar Panel

The lids will need cleaning from time to time. Take a soft wash cloth and gently clean the casing and solar panel on the lid with water and a soft detergent. Wipe the residue off of the lid with a damp rag. You can also use a soft-bristled brush on the solar panel to remove caked on debris from pollen and dirt.
